those updates that pop up from microsoft are u sopose to get them because i cant use media player no more because it sais i have missed 27 updates that i never got  u got to get them? |

No. Updates are optional. I dont even use auto update. I just update my firewall some windows hotfixes that are network related and occasionaly use update to fix holes in .net and framework. Update your WmP to the beta 11. Its been good so far and using it to sync music is good. But I recommend using Winamp as its not a directly intergrated part of windows and getting some sort of shell int virus or spyware wont happen  |

What do you see when you try to connect? What bans have been put in place on the server if any at all? Can you ping tracet the server? I can possibly answer the first 2, but the last 1 you have to do in dos prompt with Windoh's!

Oh yea. Shoot is your copy of Windows legit? If not i can type up a lil thing to make it, this happend to me when sp1 came out so I understand it quite ez.

how would i check tht ? it used to work then the day we got stats it stopped working. every other site new or old still works n e ideas ?

I dont know what could be the problem. Site works I know that. Could be even spyware/malware. What you can try is use another browser other than Netscape or Explorer to check. If you cant connect via a 3rd party, and freshly installed browser you might have to either system restore or update your browser(looks like IE from the pic). None of this is a sure fire way to fix this tho. My bet is on some sort of spyware and malware, but even i doubt it. That page wouldnt of been a Dell page if it was spyware I guess. Hmm. Could even be the Site has a filter on it and you ip is within range. Try a diffrent browser and see if that works first. I use Firefox, but there are others and im sure there is a much safer version of IE availabe. Give's them a try and see if that let's you connect.
